Children wanting to dazzle this Christmas should head straight to Four Seasons Shopping Centre on Saturday 19th or Sunday 20th September as the centre hosts the annual Design a Light competition as part of its dedicated kids club, the B:Club.
The competition which is organised by ourselves and is being run by Mansfield-based Making It! will give one lucky child the chance to have their own custom designed Christmas light made – which will then be displayed on the front of the Four Seasons Shopping Centre over the festive period.
To be in with a chance of winning this illuminating prize, children will be invited to take part in workshops across the weekend in September where they will be given the chance to design their Christmas lights.
Children can let their imaginations run wild as part of the competition and enter any design they want. The Christmas Lights Committee will then review the entries before selecting one lucky winner to have the light made and displayed pride of place at the centre.
Rebekah O’Neill, from the Mansfield Christmas Lights Committee and Centre Manager at Four Seasons Shopping Centre said, “We’re really excited to be hosting the Christmas lights competition and although September may seem a little early to be getting into the Christmas spirit we urge any children wanting to add some extra sparkle to this year’s festivities to come and enter the competition!”
